Fouling of Groundwater Treatment Equipment
Redux Technology develops and markets water treatment chemical products that are designed to reduce operations and maintenance costs in groundwater extraction and treatment systems. Typically our products have been developed to address specific operating problems encountered in such equipment. The company was established in 1990, with primary expertise in the area of controlling and eliminating deposits (fouling) in remedial systems. Since then, the company has expanded into other markets involving groundwater, including construction dewatering and groundwater sourced drinking water.
These products are added at ppm levels to recovered groundwater to prevent solids like iron oxy-hydroxides, scale, or biomass from forming before treatment. Formulated with components such as sequestrants and dispersants, Redux blends target specific fouling types and are environmentally dischargeable.
These more aggressive products are designed to remove existing fouling and include Redux well rehabilitation formulations made specifically for remedial wells. Cleaning typically requires offline equipment, recirculation of specialized solutions, and proper treatment before disposal.
These products enhance the removal of inorganic foulants like iron or calcium as a pretreatment step, which is often challenging but sometimes necessary in remedial situations. Redux precip-aids reduce reaction time and footprint, improve solids separation, and can also remove toxic materials such as heavy metals or emulsified oils.
